i bought two of these to use as planters. they work perfectly and the plants are going strong after almost a year. great quality heavy plastic. the one thing i was surprised about – they didn’t come with the hardware to mount them on the wall. i used nails.

My son received this as a Christmas gift, and the past 5 months have been very enjoyable. Guests think it’s pretty cool, and our cat doesn’t stand a chance against this fish bowl. It’s much sturdier than it looks, just make sure to have a wall anchor as water is heavy of course. It’s a little awkward to change out the water, but we just add some fresh and siphon out some of the old. Seems to be less stressful for the little guys (my son and the fish).

I have never seen a Betta jump, but maybe they do. There seems to be plenty of room for a Betta, and ours seems happy to be out of the little teacup he was in at the pet store.

Using this as a bathroom decoration in my kids’ bathroom. Haven’t hung it yet, still waiting for husband to do it. Will update with comments on product’s durability at a later date.

This size is WAY to small for a betta! A betta needs at the minimum of 2.5 gal and does best in 5 gallons +. Also, betta JUMP! Without a cover for the opening at the top, you will find your betta on the floor quickly. You will need to do a water exchange on this tank every two days, or the poor water quality will harm your fishie friend.

DO NOT follow these instructions on cleaning! When you clean you CANNOT USE SOAP! You will kill your fish! No matter how well you rinse, there will always be a residue of soap left on the walls.

I have kept betta fish for over 5 years and breed them. Please follow my advice!

I do see how this could be used for other living things, such as plants. It could be a neat project for children watching root systems grow.
